The Maxel Armory 25 and Armory 35 Level Wind Reels are heavy-duty round-profile overhead reels designed for demanding jigging and offshore fishing applications.

Building on the popular Armory 15 platform, the larger Armory 25 and 35 retain Maxel’s proven features while adding greater capacity, strength and a reinforced synchronous level wind system for anglers fishing heavier tackle.

At the heart of both reels is the innovative Maxel Karman System, an integrated lever drag design developed to reduce spool lock and improve drag control.

When the drag lever is moved into the Free position, the Karman System allows the drag plate to disengage smoothly from the spool, even after an extended fight under heavy pressure. This enables the reel to return to virtually zero drag and can be particularly useful when a jig or lure becomes snagged around reef or structure.

The Karman System also provides more precise drag adjustment, giving anglers greater control when fishing fine braided line and techniques such as slow pitch jigging. Smooth, accurate lever movement makes it easier to adjust drag pressure during the fight while reducing the risk of sudden line breakage.
