The Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 is the world's smallest Personal Locator Beacon — typically 30% smaller than competitors and weighing just 116 grams. Operable with a single hand even in the most challenging conditions, it provides the reassurance that emergency services can be alerted at the press of a button, whether you're at sea or on land.

The PLB1 operates on the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network — the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network. As this is government-funded, there is no subscription or charge to use the service.

When activated, the PLB1 transmits your position and unique ID to a Rescue Coordination Centre via satellite. Rescue services closest to you are promptly notified and regularly updated on your location to assist rapid rescue.
