FixTech Fix 1DC

Description

Fixtech Fix1DC is a high-quality, single-component adhesive sealant specifically formulated for caulking seams in teak, synthetic teak, cork, and various timber decking applications. It is particularly well-suited for marine environments, offering excellent durability and flexibility.​

Key Features:

• Flexible & Durable: Accommodates joint movement up to ±30%, forming a permanently elastic seal.

• UV Stable & Colorfast: Resists degradation and maintains color when exposed to sunlight.

• Eco-Friendly Composition: Free from acids, isocyanates, solvents, phthalates, and halogens.

• Excellent Sandability: Can be sanded effectively after full cure (3–5 days).

• Non-Paintable: Designed to remain unpainted; paint and varnish do not adhere to cured Fix1DC.

• Chemical Resistance: Resistant to fresh and saltwater, pH-neutral soaps, mineral oils, and grease. ​

Application Guidelines:

• Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are solid, clean, dry, and free from dust, debris, oils, or release agents.

• Priming: For teak and other porous substrates, apply Fixseal Epoxy Sealer/Primer after cleaning with acetone. Synthetic decking typically does not require priming.

• Joint Dimensions: Minimum width of 5 mm and depth of 5 mm; recommended joint width is twice the depth.
