We are a chandlery – specialising in the “thingamijigs” and the “whatchamacallit” of the boating world and pride ourselves on our ability to locate the right part for your boat. If you’re not sure what you’re looking for or your don’t see it listed – jump on the website chat, send us an email or give us a call.
“Chandlery”? It’s literally a candle maker – before electricity a ship would need candles for the ships lights, so would always visit the chandler when they were in port. Over time chandlerer’s expanded beyond candles to service other needs such as ropes, sails and other ship supplies.
Our Story
Boat Harbour Marine is a bricks and mortar chandlery which has been in operation for over 20 years and under current ownership since 2018.
Our mission at Boat Harbour Marine is to support the boating community by offering expert advice, ensuring our customers enjoy safe and memorable experiences on the water.
Over the years, we have grown into a well-respected hub for boating enthusiasts, offering a one-stop shop for all your maritime needs.
Our Team
Our team is what happens when professional mariners have kids!
The majority of our team are commercially qualified masters and engineers from varied backgrounds of superyachts, sail instructing, commercial fishing and marine construction.
Jock
Jock was a IT engineer, a captain, a yacht engineer, a rigger and a boating instructor depending on which era you’re talking about.
Anna
Anna is an engineer and officer from the yacht world and has completed a half dozen ocean crossings on boats for 40′ to 140′.
Kelly
With over a decade with the business – Kelly is the parts Queen. Blurry photos of unknown provenance are her speciality.
Andy
Is our resident fish whisperer with the majority of his working life in the fishing retail world.
Hannah
From a family of commercial fisherman she worked through the gold mines otherwise known as Gladstone Ports.
